Events and News on the Shen/North Statistics and Data Visualization Book
2026:
January 28, 2026: The book “Statistics and Data Visualization in Climate Science with R and Python” was displayed at the American Meteorological Society's annual meeting in Houston, Texas, January 26 - 29, 2026. Professor Shen signed the book. He also took photos with some visitors to the Cambridge University Press exhibition booth.
2025:
December 2025: The book "Statistics and Data Visualization in Climate Science with R and Python" is on the Cambridge University Press' new and best-selling list for the second year.

January 13, 2025: American Meteorological Society's annual meeting
displayed two books co-authored by Professor Sam Shen: "Statistics and Data Visualization in Climate Science with R and Python" by
S.S.P. Shen and G.R. North (2023), and "Climate Mathematics: Theory and Applications" by S.S.P. Shen and R.C.J. Somerville (2019).

exhibited at annual meetings, conferences, and assemblies of many international organizations, such as the
American Geophysical Union, the American Meteorological Society,
the European Geosciences Union, and the Ecological Society of America.

S.S.P. Shen and G.R. North was
displayed at the American Meteorological Society's annual meeting at Baltimore,
January 29 - February 1, 2024. Professor Shen had a photo with his book readers in front of
the Cambridge University Press (CUP)'s exhibition booth at the meeting on January 30, 2024. CUP's booth
also displayed Professor Shen's another book: "Climate Mathematics: Theory and Applications" by S.S.P. Shen and R.C.J. Somerville.
